2009 saw the holding of the inaugural Edward Grayson Memorial Lecture in memory of Edward Grayson, a former President of BASL.  The second lecture, in 2010, was given by Kate Hoey MP. In 2011, the third Edward Grayson Memorial Lecture was given by Baroness Sue Campbell, the Chair of UK Sport and of the Youth Sports Trust. The lecture, with a reception to follow, took place at King’s College, London.  It was well attended and a great success.

The fourth lecture, to be given at the offices of Charles Russell by Michael Beloff QC, will take place on 15 May 2012 and is entitled: “The specificity of sport- rhetoric or reality?”
