De Montfort University (DMU) and its Sports Law Unit

DMU is the academic partner of BASL. It offers a range of sport-related courses, including a distance learning course leading to a Masters of Laws (LLM) in Sports Law and Practice (also available as a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma).

The course builds on the teaching and research interests of members of the Sport Law Unit and University generally. It covers matters such as sports regulation, governance, broadcasting, ethics and commercial aspects of sport.  However, it is also designed to offer flexibility to develop individual interests and to appeal to both lawyers and non-lawyers.
